Feasibility

There are lots of things to consider when confirming that a project is viable. Here’s a flavour of what we regularly get up to under this heading.
Resource mapping / site identification analysis of regions or farms/estates for overall potential
Desktop studies low cost analysis of economics based on head taken from map or information provided and site-specific hydrological report.
Ecology screening for ecological sensitivity and likely related constraints
Grid connection preparation and submission of grid study applications to the electricity network operators
Environment Agency (England & Wales) preparation and submission of pre-application site consultation forms
Generation potential estimates of annual energy generation via modelling taking into account available heads, flows, equipment selection, screening, pipeline diameter and other parameters.
Budgeting and economics estimates of likely scheme costs and payback
Funding identification of potential funding sources, including grants and other financial incentives that may assist viability

All work is backed up by on site visits and meetings as necessary.
