Mark Cropper
Managing Director

Mark has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2001, formerly as a London based financier with Turquoise Associates. His passion for hydro takes him back to his roots in the English Lake District, where he is also chairman of James Cropper PLC, the specialist paper and advanced materials group. Mark is a council member of the British Hydro Association.

Charles Crewdson OBE
Director

Charles Crewdson is executive chairman of Gilbert, Gilkes and Gordon Ltd. He is the third generation of his family to head the business, following a 24 year military career that included commanding the 9/12 Royal Lancers Prince of Wales regiment.

David Bond BEng (Hons)
Technical Director

David Bond is a civil engineer with fifteen years experience as a designer, operations engineer and project manager. David has joined us from Inter Hydro Technology where he spent the last five years as a consultant, the last two as Associate Director where he oversaw the design and project management of nearly £10m of hydroelectric power schemes in Scotland and northern England.

Adam Cropper MEng
Project Engineer

Adam Cropper is a Mechanical Engineer with a background in fluid engineering. Prior to joining Ellergreen in 2011, he was renewable technology manager at environmental consultancy EHS Projects and a design and test engineer for pump manufacturer SPP Pumps. Adam also takes his passion for water home with him – he is a freestyle windsurfing fanatic and previously created Turfdog, a water-sports equipment business.

Robert Parkins CEng MICE
Senior Consultant

Bob Parkins is a Chartered Civil Engineer with many years experience as a consulting engineer. After an early career as a bridge and water supply engineer in the UK and Africa, he founded and grew his own civil and structural consultancy for 30 years. Latterly this business increasingly focused on hydro-electric projects, with Bob undertaking various roles in many successful hydro schemes in England, Scotland, Ireland, Greece and the USA, a specialisation he continues to pursue as an independent consultant.
