Mark has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2001, formerly as a London based financier with Turquoise Associates. His passion for hydro takes him back to his roots in the English Lake District, where he is also chairman of James Cropper PLC, the specialist paper and advanced materials group.

Adam Cropper is a Mechanical Engineer with a background in fluid engineering. Prior to joining Ellergreen in 2011, he was renewable technology manager at environmental consultancy EHS Projects and a design and test engineer for pump manufacturer SPP Pumps. Adam also takes his passion for water home with him – he is a freestyle windsurfing fanatic and previously created Turfdog, a water-sports equipment business. Adam is a board member of the British Hydro Association.
M.Sc, B.Eng Project Engineer
Dafydd Morgan joined Ellergreen in spring 2017, following an M.Sc degree in Advanced Mechanical Engineering M.Sc from the University of Liverpool, where he graduated with distinction. Dafydd initially gained experience developing hydro-electric schemes while working with Engineers Without Borders in Melanesian Borneo. He has an agricultural background growing up on a sheep and dairy farm in west Wales.

Bob Parkins is a Chartered Civil Engineer with decades of experience in the design and engineering of small hydro-electric projects. He founded and ran his own civil and structural consultancy practice for 30 years and since retirement has continue to work in the hydro field as an independent consultant.
Construction and Operations Manager
Dave oversees Ellergreen construction projects, delivering projects of all scales up to multi-million pounds in value. The role follows on from a career as a site manager across numerous civil engineering construction projects, primarily for water utilities in the North of England. Dave also oversees the operation of Ellergreen’s portfolio of operational schemes which range in scale from 15kW to almost 1MW.
Charles Crewdson is executive chairman of Gilbert, Gilkes and Gordon Ltd. He is the third generation of his family to head the business, growing the company on several new fronts, not least development of a significant number of multi-megawatt hydro schemes under the Gilkes Energy brand.
